Jamie's life verse is 1 Peter 3:15, "But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you with meekness and fear."

Blake Duncan

Youth Pastor

Pastor Blake has been involved in church his entire life, but came to a saving knowledge of Jesus at a lock-in when he was 7. He then received his call to pastoral ministry at the age of 15. After years of discipleship at his home church, he felt led to attend Truett McConnell University, where he received a Bachelors on Christian Studies in 2018. He married his wife, Emily, two weeks after graduating. They now have a little girl named Zelda.

Before joining New Hope, Pastor Blake served as youth pastor and worship leader at Mars Hill Baptist Church in Carrollton,  Georgia for 3 1/2 years, and senior pastor of Salem Baptist Church, also in Carrollton for 18 months.

Blake’s passions include reading, discovering new music, baking things to share with others, and all things coffee. His favorite verse is Galatians 2:20, “I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me.”
